Inspired by Helen’s great post on why she’ll never be a beauty blogger, I thought I’d finally get round to sharing the reasons why I will never be a fashion blogger.
Now don’t get me wrong, I do like buying new clothes, but you won’t start seeing OOTD’s on here. Soz.
I tend to stick to the basics. My weekend outfit tends to be a pair of jeans and a tee. My weekday outfits aren’t that much more interesting, as I work in an office.
OOTD posts are sooo dull. Guys, this is just *my* opinion, but I find them incredibly boring 9 times out of 10. They are only interesting to me if you just happen to mention what you wore when you did something exciting.
I can’t pose for my dear life. I applaud those of you that can pose like a model and feel totally normally about it all. That whole hand-on-your-hip thing that you do? You own that. I own the awkward reluctant smile and not-knowing-what-to-do-with-my-hands look.
I am a bargain hunter. Most of the time my new outfits are your past season ones. I wait for things to be cheaper, and will always have a maximum price I think something is worth in my head. Livin’ on the edge, me.
Catwalk fashion confuses me. Honestly, what are those models wearing?! It feels me with dread when I start to see these hideous outfits reimagined in the High Street made out of poor quality material and costing a day’s (or sometimes more) wage.
I hate Topshop. This wasn’t always the case, but over recent years I’ve never found anything I’d be caught dead in. Except their boyshort pants, because BATMAN PANTS IN TOPSHOP!!!
Being petite makes life difficult. In-store Petite ranges are often looking a little sorry for themselves. Us short-arses just don’t have the same variety, and “normal” height clothes are so unflattering on me…
There’s more interesting things to write about. OK, so not every single one of my posts will be OMG THRILLING (or maybe none of them), but I’d rather write about anything else than when I bought a new Spring jacket.
