Waiting For Autumn

Autumn activities to look forward to

As much I love the warmth and longer days of Summer, around this time every year I begin to long for the cooler climates, cosier jumpers and the excuse to drown myself with hot chocolate and marshmallows as Autumn creeps in and rolls into Winter.

Even though Autumn ushers in shorter days and the need to wrap up in a million layers, there’s something incredibly comforting about protecting yourself from the elements. I can’t wait to rock the winter scarf and crochet beanie look again. Roll on the thick tights and wooly knitwear, too! Who’s with me?!

This Autumn I’m looking forward to making the most of being indoors – whether that’s by playing a board game or two, reading a comic, or doing some calming colouring in, there’s plenty of hermit-inspired activities to keep me busy over the A/W months. There will also be some serious wish-listing going on as these seasons are my absolute favourites for fashion.

For when it’s not too chilly out, I am also hoping to take the opportunity to take my camera for an outing or two to capture the changing of the leaves, and hopefully some snowfall if we get any! Fingers crossed for a White Christmas, eh?

What are you looking forward to this Autumn/Winter?

I do love Autumn, especially if I'm able to get outdoors- there is nothing like a long walk on a crisp day! But, I am totally not ready for it yet! It has been such a rubbish summer up in Manchester, I just want a few weeks of heat before I snuggle into my knits! Just as well I'm going on holiday next week!

I love Autumn, I love wearing layers, scarves, boots with crunchy autumn leaves underfoot, those bright but brisk autumn days where you can take a very picturesque wander through a park, what's not to love? Candles burning, cooking heartier foods, and of course, getting ready for Christmas!

Awww, we've had a quite mixed summer in the south so I'm wanting the temperature to cool and stay that way so the chunky jumpers can come out. I hope you have a wonderful holiday! x
