The Two Products That Sort Out My Spots Pronto

The Body Shop skin clearing tea tree oil night lotion and facial wash good for spots

You may have noticed that I’ve recently been amping up the ol’ beauty content, and the reason for that is twofold. 1) I kind of enjoy writing beauty reviews “with a difference” and 2) I’ve been trying to look after myself a bit better recently and that includes keeping on top of my skincare.

These two beaut products from The Body Shop are the subject of my adoration in this post because they are spot products that not only work, but work quickly. So if like me you’ve been eating too much junk food recently and your skin hasn’t taken too kindly to it, these are for you. Because let’s be honest, we’d rather a decent skincare product do the job than having to cut back on the chocolate. Am I right, or am I right?

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Night Lotion

Let’s start off with my fave, shall we? This little miracle bottle got rid of a new friend that decided to reside on the side of my nose within 24 hours. Liam lovingly pointed out the arrival of the spot one night when getting ready for bed. I rushed to the bathroom and slathered this lotion over the area and another troublesome spot on my jawline before settling down for some “beauty sleep”.

The next morning, the spots had significantly reduced, especially my nose mountain which despite being new had also been pretty nasty. So that night once again, I put some more of the lotion on. The next morning the spots had practically disappeared.

I have been using this night lotion whenever I get a breakout for some time now, and it has always had the same, or similar response time to getting rid of or at the very least significantly reducing the size of my spots. The only downside for me is that it does dry out my sensitive skin a bit, but it’s nothing that the Vitamin E aqua boost essence lotion can’t fix.

I recommend using this lotion sparingly though, as I think the ingredients may have changed over the years and it’s got a little more “potent” now. It means it works better, but also that you need less of it!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Skin Clearing Face Wash

I tend to alternate between different face washes as my skin’s needs change on the reg. Quite often my skin needs more moisture, so I opt for a creamier wash but when my skin is feeling oily and I’m getting more regular red and angry visitors, I will switch to this skin clearing face wash.

Much like the night lotion, it is quite potent for my sensitive skin so it’s not an everyday wash as I often have to slather on moisturiser afterwards. However, used for a few days in a row when your skin is particularly bad, this face wash is really good for drying up those pesky spots and leaving the texture of your skin really smooth. It’s just worth bearing in mind that if you have dry skin patches on your face like I do, this product can sometimes flare them up.
