Slimming World 1 Syn Chocolate Brownies With Icing

To those not on Slimming World, or new to the plan, there’s often a misconception that you cannot eat nice chocolatey things. You’re wrong – and these 1 syn brownies will be testament to that.
You can actually makes these brownies 0.5 syns without the ‘icing’, but I’ll be honest…you’ll want the icing. 
This recipe makes about 12 brownies, so perfect for lining a muffin tray.

Ingredients

3 eggs, separated (tip: you don’t need a fancy yolk separator, just pass the egg through your hands)
35g sweetener 
30g cocoa powder (do *not* use hot chocolate powder, it will not work!)
1 tsp vanilla essence
Frylight (I used the olive oil spray as it’s all I have and it works fine)
4 teaspoons Fat free fromage frais
4 teaspoons of Options hot chocolate, or the sachet (11g serving)

Method

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees, and spray a clean muffin tray with Frylight.
Next, whisk the egg whites until they form soft peaks. The ‘bowl over the head’ experiment is optional!

In a separate bowl, beat the yolks, vanilla and cocoa powder until combined. Add a little water if the mixture is too stiff.
Fold in the egg whites gently, then spoon the mixture into the individual sections of the muffin tray. It’s important the sections have enough Frylight so the brownie doesn’t stick!
Finally, bake for around 25 minutes in the middle of the oven. Keep an eye on them and look out for a slightly shiny and crisp top.

Take them out of the oven when ready and leave to cool. Whilst they are cooling, mix the fat free fromage frais and Options. Taste as you go and add fromage frais or sweetener as required. Resist adding extra Options as the syn count will increase!
Et voila, 1 syn chocolate brownies! Remember to store these in the fridge, as the fromage frais won’t last very long! These are ideal for a tea party or snacks for your SW group!

    You're welcome! They are *incredibly* easy to make. Admittedly they aren't as indulgent as the real deal, but they definitely take the edge off of cravings when you're slimming 🙂 x
