My Week Highlights

Last week was a bit different to usual, largely because I was only in work on Monday and Friday as I had a few days off to visit my Mum for her birthday on Wednesday.

Here are a few highlights from the week.

Having a relaxing day on Tuesday, only briefly bracing the cold for a trip to the local shops to pick up a few things.

Visiting The Range, Hobbycraft and the Haskins Garden Centre for my Mum’s birthday to look at all things Christmassy (and naturally buy some baking decorations for Christmas!).
Seeing and cuddling my elderly dalmatians.
Going for a carvery for dinner with my Mum and brother. It’s pretty rare my brother will spend much time with us as he is usually out with friends when I am home.
Enjoying the delicious hot chocolate above whilst waiting for my train back on Thursday.
Returning to work and catching up – it’s always good to know that you are up to date with your work!
Although it’s sad to see one of my colleague’s leave, she gave us each an amazing gift, and we also went out for a drink after work on Friday.
Saturday morning meant popping into town and *finally* finding the Aveeno face wash that I adore so much. For some reason every once in a while, it becomes impossible to find (usually tied into when I need it most), but it was on offer in Boots and I managed to grab the last two tubes, hoorah!
The evening was my first ever work Christmas party, held at a barn in Fair Oak in Hampshire. It was amazing – we had a nice 3 course meal, followed by a bit of a boogey and a photobooth! I thieved a couple of the print outs and put them in frames for the office 🙂
Sunday was pretty uneventful. Luckily I didn’t get drunk at the party so wasn’t wrestling a hangover. Instead, I ate a lot of chocolate and watched a lot of 24 – oh, and Planet Terror which was fun.
How was your week?
