Monthly Favourites: February 2016

Monthly Favourites February 2016

God damn, it’s the end of February already. Next thing we know it’ll be Christmas again. So, what’s made the Feb faves list?

booking: my driving test! So my driving instructor has recommended I get on with doing my test to help try and overcome the anxiety and pressure I put on myself to get this whole learning to drive thing done and dusted. Or maybe he’s just sick of the occasional full-on breakdown I have when I can’t nail the reverse around a corner manoeuvre. But either way, the driving test is booked for the middle of April, so hopefully passing it will make my April monthly faves. Please all cross your fingers!

getting lovey dovey: on valentines day. Lol JK we don’t really do the lovey dovey thing. But we did get each other some awesome presents. I got a new comic, a The Walking Dead book and also *this* which Liam put some hilarious answers in. Oh, and a week or so later I got a Deadpool hoody!

watching: the superbowl. Continuing from last year’s tradition of spending the Superbowl with Liam and our friend Jack, we enjoyed buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese sauce and some fajitas, too. If you can’t pig out watching the Superbowl, when can you?

also watching: the walking dead. IT’S BACK AND THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY.

also also watching: Deadpool. Oh man, it was so good. I have been waiting for this movie since the test footage was leaked in 2014. Here’s a lil review without any pesky spoilers.

chatting: nerdy things. This month, I took part in my first podcast experience guesting on Nerd on Nerd. If you like nerdy things such as comics, comic book movies and being nosy about what nerds get up to, then click here (oh, and follow Nerd on Nerd on Twitter if you enjoyed it)!

reading: plenty of comics. I have been doing my best to get back into reading comics more recently to try and put a dent into the “to read” pile.

signed up for: dechox. OK, I’m not sure the thought of not eating chocolate for a whole month in March is one of my monthly favourites, but I’d lovelovelove if you could donate! All donations go to British Heart Foundation and are going to spur me on when I get a craving for a Creme Egg or five. View my Just Giving page here.

What’s been fab about your Feb?

Oh I so need to see Deadpool, the trailer looked so funny! I love those Awesome books too – my friend got me one while we were at uni and she wrote all of these sweet things inside it, so cute. I need to book some driving lessons, it’s the next big thing on my to-do list! – Tasha

You’ll love Deadpool, it’s so good! The little book is amazing, and nice to look in when you feel a bit down, too. Get booking those lessons, it is worth it! x

Thank you! 🙂 I’m going to need it lol. You’ll be fine…it takes some getting used to but then a lot of driving will become second nature. I remember how annoyed I was for the first several months because it was a lot of information to take in! Trust me, it made giving up chocolate look easy 😉 x
