L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oils Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Continuing on my quest to try and find hair products to tame how incredibly dry and static my hair has been lately, I picked up this shampoo and conditioner combo in Boots a little while back.
The L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oils shampoo and its conditioner counterpart promises to nourish the hair and scalp (as about 95% of other shampoos and conditioners promise), but what interested me was its promise to create voluptuous smoothness and softness. Yes please!
The back of each bottle has a bit of blurb about the “science” behind dry hair which is basically “giiiirrl your hair is lifeless as hell, let’s give it life again” (y’know, in more eloquent language and whatnot, but essentially the same message). It goes on to describe the “6 flower oils” included in the ingredients (alongside so many other additives that I can’t make sense of), before promising transformation of your hair.
I’m not going to lie – with any haircare product I always have a strong sense of BS. I’m not at all sold by the spiel on these bottles, but I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’m desperate.
So I’ve been using these for a few weeks now, and although my world hasn’t changed and my hair still is dry and static, I have found that the shampoo and conditioner have helped to improve the overall condition of my hair, making it less static and feeling softer on the day of washing. The smell of the products is relatively nice too, which helps. It’s slightly fragrant, but not overpowering.
I’d recommend giving these a go, as everyone’s hair is different, and it may actually change your life. I’ll keep using these until their empty, but I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing.

I would definitely recommend trying coconut oil for a weekly hair treatment as it is really conditioning. Also, if you're after going down the cruelty-free, more natural route, I'd really recommend trying Faith In Nature's coconut hair range as they are great for everyday use and really budget-friendly, too. xxx
