A Little Life Update

So some of you would have seen this photo on Twitter which is basically a “how not to take an outfit pic” guide and the reason I will 100% never become a fashion blogger. I mean what even is my face doing there? FOREVER AWKWARD.

But y’know what, I do like what I’m wearing and also the fact that it’s now warm and light enough to take a photo in the garden after work.  FYI if you are interested, the striped shirt is from Matalan (modelled much more effectively by Hannah). The olive trainers that are comfy AF are also from Matalan, and the grey jeans are from TU Clothing. I basically want to live in outfits like this throughout Spring.

Speaking of Spring – I can finally eat chocolate again after giving it up for The British Heart Foundation’s Dechox. I struggled so much more this year than when I did it last year and I celebrated the end of the challenge by buying marks and spencers’ dreamy belgian chocolate and toffee hot cross buns and their dinosaur easter egg. No regrets.

What else is going on in my world? Well, I’ve joined Slimming World again to try and get back on track with eating healthier things. Yep, I know I’m contradicting what I said up there ^^.

But I miss that satisfaction I got a couple of year’s ago when I’d lost a stone on Slimming World and I could fit comfortably into the clothes I want to. So here’s hoping for that again! Everything in moderation, right?

I’ve been doing quite well at the gym too – I’m making real progress with my cardio quite quickly which is the only guaranteed way to make me stick to something that I don’t really enjoy at all. I hate hate hate exercising, but have to admit to enjoying the feeling after a workout when you know you’ve pushed yourself.

This weekend I’m back at home with the family as we’re celebrating my uncle’s 50th and my nan’s 80th (when she told me she was turning 80 this year I legit didn’t believe she was anywhere near 80 – she’s a supernan). We’re going out for a nice lunch near to where my uncle lives. It’s been a long time since we saw my uncle, aunt and cousins so it should be good!

That’s pretty much it in my world – how about you guys? I love reading life update posts so do send me yo links!

Good luck with Slimming World! And happy birthday to your nan and uncle. I know what you mean about supernan – my grandma is 76 but I’d never believe it!! Haha.

Good luck on Slimming World, I just joined 2 months ago and just 2.5lbs away from losing my first stone (I’m hoping to lose 2 in total) I’ve not managed to lose it as quickly as some people but I understand what you mean about feeling comfortable in those clothes that were hiding at the back of the wardrobe when they finally fit again. Enjoy your weekend of family time! 🙂

Thank you! I did SW before and lost a stone which is basically what I want to lose this time round. Everyone’s body is different and losing weight shouldn’t be a race. I feel so much more comfortable as a size 10. I was a size 8 for a while but when I sized up I felt more myself if that makes sense?
