The last time I did a Life Lately post was back in June when I announced a couple of pieces of big news – a new job and starting to drive. So I guess I should probably start with how I’m getting on!
The job is going really well – I get on really well with the team, and we have a new starter I’m working alongside which is really great as it has got pretty hectic! In that time I also did Jury Service for the first time, which was pretty interesting (despite all the waiting around).
The driving lessons are going pretty good too – I have my good and bad lessons, and I’m still some way from feeling entirely confident behind the wheel, but I’m definitely seeing progress. I’ve done about 20 hours now which is apparently roughly half way towards being “test ready”. This both excites and terrifies me. I want to feel 100% confident before I even think about booking my test, so it’ll hopefully be in the first quarter of next year.
I have however finally booked my theory test for 24th October. I’ve been giving one of the apps a go to brush up on the questions, and most of it is common sense. The other bits I still need to get to grasps with, but I’m feeling positive that by the time it comes to the test, I’ll be good and ready.
So those are the two big things I mentioned last time covered…so what else has gone on?
Well, regular readers will know that a pretty major event that happened was me and Liam getting back together and giving things another try which is great. It’s still early days but I for one am excited about our future together. We are both currently in Rome enjoying our first solo holiday together, so I’ll let you know what it’s like when we’re back!
Otherwise, life is ticking over as it should. Things are pretty good, and I’m finding more time for blogging in the evenings now that I don’t have any commuting to do. I’m even occasionally going out for meals/drinks with a friend on weekday evenings which would be unheard of a matter of months ago!
What’s been going on in your life lately? Let me know in the comments below or share your catch up posts so I can have a nosy when I’m back on British soil!
