Agh, guys. I’m sorry. I have fallen behind a bit in keeping the blog updated and responding to 1 or 2 comments. I have been exhausted this week and when I’m that tired, I very rarely get any inspiration or motivation to blog. But hey…let’s move past it.
You’ll know that recently I posted about giving up chocolate for the whole of March, and on Wednesday I decided to shoot a short vlog to talk about how it was going from the beginning (given that I’d actually stopped eating chocolate about a week before). I’ve decided to do a few ad-hoc vlogs throughout the month just to share a bit of an update on how it’s going and how I’m tackling the cravings. My latest challenge is in the form of my favourite cookies having been bought by my mother, knowing full well I couldn’t eat them. IS EVERYONE OUT TO GET ME, DAMN IT?
I kid. I’m a grown-ass adult and can and will resist the temptation. It’s all for a good cause, and is also making me conscious of just how much I relied on chocolate. Yup, relied. I’m an emotional eater of chocolate – both sad emotions, and happy ones. Having gone a little while without it now, I have realised what a grip cocoa has had on my life. Damn you, Dairy Milk.
This isn’t to say I’m not going to touch chocolate ever again once March is over. I probably will. I just know that I don’t need to rely on it so much. Fruit is pretty damn tasty too, and I’ve also had one or two treats in the form of lemon cheesecake and rock cakes. I may have possibly had both of these things today. Whatev, it’s the freakin’ weekend.
