So I think it’s fair to say that my blogging schedule has gone out the window! Whilst I have had the best intentions to keep the blog busy recently, it’s a classic case of life getting in the way! So let’s have a little catch up shall we?
The two biggest pieces of news are a new job, and turning 25.
I’ve been in the new job for a week and am really enjoying it. It’s going to be a lot of responsibility, but the company are brilliant and it’s doing something I’m *really* passionate about! For those who don’t follow me on Twitter, I have started working at Kenwood (the kitchen appliances company) where I’ll be managing the International website content amongst a plethora of other exciting things!
As for officially reaching my mid-twenties – I have mixed feelings. 25 feels kind of grown up, y’know? I’ve got a separate little post planned on this very topic so I won’t go into it too much. The day of my birthday was great though – although I had to work, the day whizzed by and I had birthday messages from around the world from new colleagues. How lovely is that?!
Anyway, in the evening my Mum, Dad and brother came to visit for a pub meal and for present unwrapping! As always, I was very lucky this year. I got a sewing machine (so hopefully some more crafty posts coming!), and some bits and pieces from Cath Kidston. It’s also tradition that my Mum buys me a Christmas tree decoration from Accessorize every year. Here’s the one I got this year – isn’t it cute? I also got the Sugared Apple Yankee Candle and I am in love with it.
Liam, despite getting my new dreamy laptop (and equally dreamy Cath Kidston bag for it), also got me a Game of Thrones vinyl figure of Ghost, and a Deadpool comic I can’t wait to get stuck into!
So – onto the smaller news. It’s COLD (finally!). My protector from these harsh winds of late is the beautiful tartan scarf from Accessorize you can see above. The pattern is winter personified (if you can personify a scarf? It’s certainly my best friend at the moment), and it’s super soft and cosy. I desperately need to invest in a winter hat that doesn’t clash horrifically with it, so I think some of the birthday money from my wonderful Nan will have to go towards that.
So what’s been going on in your world? Let me know in the comments or share a link to a recent catch-up post!
